July, 2013, I set out on my first trip to Michigan with good friend, Carol Reesor. We had signed up for the paint out in conjunction with the OPA exhibit ‘ ‘at Crooked Tree Art Gallery’. All artists were out around the lake painting early on Thursday. We had one painting finished by lunch, took a break for food and then back to the easel to get an afternoon painting done. After supper there was a sunset paintout scheduled. By 10pm I had my best 2 paintings framed and entered in the exhibit being held for the weekend. My sunset painting sold and I donated the other to an art auction to help support the Petoskey arts. I was truly impressed with the community support of the arts in Petoskey. Great trip!
